The Library
is in possession of several thousands of post cards from all ages.
If the
first known post cards date from 1889, the oldest ones from our
collection are only from 1898.
The
subjects are very diversified, since they are from all over the
world, mainly from Holy Places.
Obviously
Italy is well present with Rome and the major cities and their
museums. Religious buildings in their glory or in details are
numerous but are only a part of the collection.
